I design and build software to fit your brand just as well as your clothes fit your customers — the storefront, the customiser, the tools your team use to save time and improve the process. Built around how you actually work, without compromising your identity™.

Drop Dead Clothing product management app interface

Drop Dead Clothing

Getting a product from concept to release used to live inside a spreadsheet. This was fine for product managers, but painful for everyone leaving feedback. Now it runs on an app I designed and built. All feedback and product information is in one place, so nothing gets lost and the team can work faster.

(Process)

I design and build the software end to end — storefront, customiser, or internal tool — so you’re not splitting the work between a designer and a developer. Just one person, invested in getting it right.

Define who you are

1We’ll start by discussing your business, and project details. From there, I will provide a quote and book in a kick-off call to further discuss your goals, your audience and more so that I can deliver a final product that works for you and/or your customers.

2I’ll do strategic research and create initial concepts based on our discussions - exploring layout, style, and structure. You’ll have the opportunity to review and give feedback so that we can refine the design until it feels right. Then we’ll sign it off, ready for development.

3Once the design is approved, I'll bring it to life with code. This is where visuals become functional — working the way your team and customers need them to, across devices, under release-day load, and wired into the rest of your setup.

4After thorough testing, I'll launch your project and ensure everything is running smoothly. You'll get the support you need to feel confident moving forward, and we'll both feel awesome knowing it’s live.

(Services)

Software should fit like it was made for you, but most of it is one-size-fits-all. Here’s what I can do for you.

Getting product out

Sampling, approvals, tech packs, the release calendar — the part between idea and release where you’re losing weeks at a time.

Selling in ways a generic theme can’t

Customisers, made-to-order, pre-orders, raffles, release-day traffic that doesn't take the site down.

Physical and digital, connected

In-store terminals, pop-ups, events — hardware that talks to the rest of your setup instead of standing alone.

Storefronts and sites

Shopify headless with custom design — fast, built properly, and yours to keep. Looks like your brand so your identity stays intact, and still sells.

(About)

(EST.2017)

Hey, I'm Lee Holmes — a designer and developer with 8+ years of experience. Despite the last name, I’m no detective — but I do solve problems through thoughtful design and code.

I work with alternative clothing brands because I like the clothes and I like the problems. I love to help and collaborate with them. My love for alternative fashion started around 2010 when I first got into Bring Me The Horizon, and then discovered Drop Dead. I’ve loved the music, style and community for years, and I don’t think that will ever change.

In my spare time I enjoy going to gigs, festivals, getting tattoos (maybe not so much actually), watching films, playing video games, and spending time with my son and partner.

(FAQ)

Everything you need to know before we get to work.

Most custom apps and storefronts for clothing brands land in 4+ weeks. The exact timeline depends on scope and complexity, and how quickly feedback and sign-off come through at each stage.

4+ weeks

Often, yes — especially for storefronts and customisers. If Shopify isn’t the right fit for your setup, I’ll say so and recommend what is.

Collaboration

Projects typically start at £6,500, depending on whether we’re building a storefront, customiser, or internal tool. Book a call and I’ll put together a proposal breaking down the cost.

Brand assets

Very. You’ll review and sign off the design for your brand’s software before development begins, and I’ll keep you updated throughout. If something needs changing, we’ll work through it together in real time — not over an email chain.

Development only

We’ll cover this on the kick-off call, but typically you’ll need brand assets (logo, fonts, colours), a few references — things you like, things you don’t, competitors worth knowing about — plus product examples, your current workflow, or Shopify store access if relevant. I’ll send a questionnaire to help get everything together.

Payment

A 50% deposit is required upfront before any work begins. 25% is due after the design is signed off, and the remaining 25% is due before the project goes live.

Worldwide

Yes — every project includes one week of free support after your storefront or tool goes live, to make sure everything runs smoothly. After that, I can offer hourly support or put together an ongoing package depending on what you need.

Worldwide

Yes — I work with alternative clothing brands worldwide. Get in touch and we can take it from there.
